gosh Roselands never changed 😂 If you want a place to shop where you can relax and have a nice view also, i'd suggest taking the bus from Town Hall to Drummoyne, 10 minutes with lovely water views along the way. In Drummoyne, Birkenhead Point mall has a few nice cafes and food court overlooking the water, complete with boats bobbing on the bay, it is very calming to the eyes and such a great way to pause and enjoy a moment of peace on a sunny day

Hello Valourine, I hope you felt and are feeling better today. When I watch your vlogs, I often think of my responses to what you are saying in them, lol. Here are a few... Yes, the weather has been really cold lately in Australia. I'm not crazy about the cold weather either! I think I am much like you - often in a world of my own and I find I can't be around people for too long without getting 'drained'. Although as I've got older, I've realised I do need company and interaction (even a little bit) which I did not think I did before. It's very hard when your worst enemy is the tape that is playing inside one's own mind and even harder when you first realise this is the case. I completely understand but I haven't found a solution. I'm not as functional or as motivated as you. It's very good how you get up and take your vitamins and try to feed yourself decent food. Also how you get up and do work on your videos etc. I think your self motivation is commendable (far better than me). Well done! I'm slightly older than you but have realised I have been and am going through peri-menopause. This may explain why I've felt not as good these past years. The change in hormones affect our mood, our confidence, our energy, makes us far more anxious and more likely to cry. I'm wondering if you could be entering this phase at all? For me, it's comforting in a way to know this is the case for me as it explains quite a few things. Just want you to know you are not alone Valourine, and many more people than we think are going through what we are (maybe more) - I'm not sure if this is comforting to you or not but I hope it is. It is comforting to me to watch your videos and know someone else is going through similar challenges. You also motivate me to take my vitamins 👍🏻😁! Hugs.

I got a different message from the rice cooker story. You said there was nothing wrong with the rice cooker. It was just because of the environment/location that it kept getting infested/contaminated/dirty. My takeaway was that sometimes it's not you; it's your environment. And maybe if you were just in a different place, you'd work well and normally as the good rice cooker that you actually are.

I cannot thank you enough for showing us the other side of being alone in your 40s. Soo many women out there romanticise being alone which I feel is a narrative that is more damaging than empowering. I am 29 years old and watching your daily vlogs made me hold my friends closer and now I actually put in a lot more effort to go out and socialise despite being an autistic introvert because I do not want to be in my 40s with no real support system. It's the absolute worst and anyone can end up in this position. My heart goes out to you. Human beings are social animals, and science shows that a lack of it directly impacts your mental well-being, which starts affecting your physical well-being. Even introverted neurodivergent folks need good companionship and want to feel loved at the end of the day otherwise one is simply surviving and not really living. And once menopause hits, it becomes even more of a nightmare I've heard. Thank you for being real/vulnerable and putting glimpses of your life out there. It's a lesson for all those in their 20s who take things for granted, give up too soon and stop putting in the work to hold onto their communities and relationships. Don't give up! Just make as many friends as you can and figure out a stable career in your 20s/30s or else you'll live a very lonely life in your 40s and don't believe all those women on Instagram saying it's all sunshine and rainbows.

Valourine, thank you for being so honest in your videos. It's only when we realize a problem and be willing to seek help, can we work on improving. You can't hit bullseye if you don't even know where the target is. Your advices are spot on and doesn't only apply to your younger self. Entering your 40s may trigger a lot of anxieties, but another way to think about it is - "heck, I'm already 40 so what is there to lose." Do it all, try it all - go for it! You have a beautiful smile and lovely voice. Keep rocking and rolling with positivity and those small morning wins. 💯🤟😎

Hi, I came across your channel last week and was immediately drawn to your content. Your videos offer a refreshing change from the highly produced ones with expensive equipment. I think many middle-aged women like myself find you very relatable. At this stage in our lives, especially physically, things are often on a downhill slope 😅. As a fellow struggling artist who enjoys solitude, I see a lot of myself in you and share similar thoughts.
